We offer a range air conditioning services including servicing, regas, repairs, leak detection, deep cleaning and sanitisation. More information can be found below. Contact us to book in your vehicle or if you need any further information.
Initial function check and cabin/pollen filter check.
30 minute vacuum of air con system which is essential for the removal of any damaging moisture and any air present in the system.
Topping up with the correct type and amount of PAG refrigerant oil.
Recharging with fresh gas charge of R134A or R1234YF refrigerant (regas) to manufacturers level. This ensures optimum performance and compressor life.
Operating pressure checks show how well your system is performing.
Ultra-violet dye injection. When leaks occur on air con systems, they can be very time consuming, and therefore costly to find. Our method of detection is the use of ultra-violet fluorescing dyes that mix with the refrigerant oil. When a leak occurs the dye will leak out with the oil and refrigerant. The leak can then be found by shining an ultra-violet lamp on the components of the air conditioning system and therefore making it easier to spot a leak. This method has proved to be very effective in finding or confirming leaks and can bring the cost of repair down considerably.
However - leaks are not always apparent immediately and can take days, weeks or even months to become visible.
PLEASE NOTE
When testing your vehicle and finding there is no gas present in the system and it passes the nitrogen leak test, we will then regas your vehicle system with the correct quantity of gas and add UV dye to the system.
We will then carry out an inspection with a UV lamp to check for any apparent leaks. Some leaks due to vibration/heat etc may not be apparent at the time of UV inspection but may develop over days/weeks/months and may require further inspection at a later date.
Any additional work/regas at the later date would incur additional charges to the customer.
Sanitising your air con system can get rid of all stale smells and odours. We use an ultrasonic machine which nebulises the particles of a sanitising liquid to less than 5 micrometres. This means that the sanitising particles will not deposit on surfaces and instead fully absorb into the air con system and environment. As we use an ultrasonic machine to nebulise the liquid we avoid the loss of liquid that can take place when using heat to nebulise a liquid. The process takes approximately 30 minutes ensuring that all parts of the system are reached but importantly that the sanitising particles have adequate contact time with all parts of the air conditioning system.
